The Government of Mozambique is adamant that land for large-scale commercial plantations will only be granted to companies that have a social upliftment programme as well as local representation. To arrive at the objective of commercial plantations and long term sustainable development, work needs to be done beforehand.
Hende Wayela has divided this process into three trends, so named because they run together.
