Hende Wayela Empreendimentos Lda is a registered commercial enterprise, with its Head Office in Maputo, Mozambique, which aims to develop social and economic cohesion in a process of enhancing the fabric of Southern African society.

On here you will find all information about the various aspects of our Hende Mozambique Project, as well as general information about who we are and what we do.

The Hende Mozambique Project is a broad-based collaboration in Mozambique that focuses on the production of vegetable oil, which is, amongst other things, used in the production of bio-diesel. To ensure the long-term viability of the project, the project actively engages in a significant amount of social development. The collection of the feedstock (the raw materials from which the vegetable oil is extracted); the extraction of the vegetable oil; and the production of end-products (for instance, bio-diesel) are all used as anchor industries to facilitate the broad-based social and economic development aspects of the projects.

The Hende Mozambique Project has two distinctive sides to it - a side consisting of purely commercial ventures, and a long term sustainable development side (agricultural upliftment). Hende Wayela ensures that both these sides prosper and take benefit from the synergy between them.

The objectives of the Hende Mozambique Project are achieved through the following three concurrent trends:

•

Development and Implementation of the settlers model

•

Establishment of commercial ventures  (such as plantations) under direct control of Hende Wayela or any of its partners.
